    good news.

who would have thunk that the guys carrying the team so far are taka, dickey, Pagan and Barajas?

proving again how tought pre season predictions are!

Pagan has really impressed me this season. He’s gotta play over Frenchy. He’s fast, can hit for average, plays a very good center field, is our clutch-est hitter (him and Barajas), hits to all sides of the field, hustles every play, and just has a great energy. Gotta love his intensity as well. Takahashi also looks like the real deal. He has a good fastball, good breaking stuff, and a great screwball change thing, and above all HE THROWS STRIKES!!!!!! I am very content with Tak as our 4 or 5 pitcher.

I was thinking that if Pagan can keep this up, he’d make for some good trade bait next offseason. Or, I’d be fine with him signing an extension.

Dang we got no CF besides Pagan. Gotta keep him.

Have to agree. This is a no brainer. If/when Beltran comes back, we’ll be lucky if he plays a year here…..

I would not be surprised if Beltran never came back to play for the Mets.

But I would be vastly more surprised if he was playing here beyond 2011.

Here that Ollie? That’s the sound of your clock clicking down when Niese rejoins the club to pitch Saturday……

honestly MF, I think team Boras’s plan is to have him screw the pooch so bad that he gets released, and can essentially pick a new home.

That’s why I hope the mets eat a ton of money, and trade him for a couple of spare parts, to some team that qualifies as BB purgatory.

If ollie ends up in the WS, and the mets don’t, it will really annoy me.

Well, you have a point there….

Let’s send him to Houston. Holy cow – the Nats beat up on them today 14-4.
I see the Marlins beat up on the Brewers 13-5 too….

3 NL east teams in blow outs (well, 4, since the Phils were on the other end of the braves!)

Let’s hope the mets join the bash the opponent party.

They did, but not exactly how you envisioned it.
At least Ollie had a chance to work on his mechanics in a real game. But no one told him he would be facing the 1927 Yankees.
