Watching the game – just finished the 1st.
Mike Jacobs Ks on a 99MPH fastball. Yikes!
This kid might struggle initially in the ML (I don’t know that he will) but he is the real deal. I guess we’ll be facing him for years to come against the Nats.
D. Gee – he’s probably thinking best he can hope for is a no decision.

just took a look at the gameday and box score.
Geez, Buff back to being a bunch of retreads, old guys, AAAA players, and organizational filler.
Tejada is the only guy in the line up that is an actual prospect.
It wil be interesting to see what a “real” team can do with this kid when he reaches the majors (and No, I don’t consider Pitt. or whoever he is getting his 1st start agianst real.
Maybe Philly, in CBP, when they don’t hoave their collective offense up their colletive arses, might be a slightly bigger challenge?
Still, it would be nice to have a pitcher having this kind of success and promise in the Met system…

and as I type that last comment, Mr. Tejada gets a hit against the phenom. A good sign, if Ruben is coming up tomorrow.
And Gee seems to be pitching pretty good. 1 HR the only real blemish, but all the runs are unearned. Even has more Ks than strassburg (and both have 1 walk).
actually pretty similar lines with 0 ERs.
