Did you all see this? Gategem posted this link last night:

    http://www.buffalonews.com/2010/06/03/1069437/bisons-lose-mets-may-be-thinning.html

This from Jesus Feliciano’s agent Melvin Roman:

Roman said he had a conversation with Mets General Manager Omar Minaya and believes Feliciano will be called up.

“With the season that he’s having in Triple-A and with the form he has played the last three years batting over .300 in the minors, finally, in the next few days, [Feliciano] would have the opportunity to see his dream realized,” Roman said. “… Minaya has said he knows it will be this week when he gives him the opportunity.”

seems like Carter will be the odd man out…GMJ has done a great job so far, so he certainly will be staying

        somehow, I don’t think so.

If feliciano is comeing up, it has to be at the expense of GM. THey play the same position. and carter is the only thing passign for a power bat on the bench.

Of course, now that Jerry stuck him in the dog house, he wil lnever see the light of day, so it may not make much difference.

Well, that is good news. Prefer to have someone who is going to appreciate it vs. one who is just collecting a paycheck at this point. Yeah, that’s my view on GMJ. He needs to go, for lack of ability and lack of desire. It’s tough running the basis with multiple millions stuffed in your back pockets!

Now, as to Murphy… The poor kid. I may be a Murphy homer of sorts, as I think his bat and ability would make him a serviceable 2B with above the Norm batting for a second baseman. But to be bounced around and around, basically be awarded the 1B job, lose it to injury, start back on track to take the 2B job (yes, i think that was/is their plan) only to go down to another injury… Uff da. Murph, if we ever bump into each other at a pub, first beer’s on me.

I feel bad for Murphy as well but Havens should be our starting 2B by this time next season so Murphy wouldnt be much help for us down the road.

Hopefully he isnt hurt too bad especially b/c packaging Murphy, Tejada and a pitching prospect or 2 should be anough to get us another stud pitcher like Cliff Lee.

Santana, Lee, Pelfrey, Niese, Dickey/Takahashi would be a great rotation.

I wonder what actually is hurt? Obviously a broken leg or torn up knee and he is done for the year. But sometimes something like this could look wore than it ends up being. I assume there will be some reports out today with details.

also in that piece, Thoe got whcked with a bat. Hopefully no concussion. That is the last thing the Mets need, especially if he is trade bait.
