Number 11 could be a real one—my brother heard that the Wilpons are trying to sell Ollie on Craig’s List!

LoL I heard he was on EBay.

    #9 made me chuckle.

#1 could be replace Jerry with a pet rock, and it would still be an improvement.

COUld just have Cora make any of the in-game moves needed.

    some good ones in here.

but on a serious note, I really am curious to see if they take advantage of this perfect opportunity to make some moves. 1/3 season mark, .500 record, just came home and had an off day to meet, and some blatently obvious needs/issues to address.

Ideal time to make some serious, bold moves to really say to the fans that they are trying to win.

Instead I sadly suspect we will get Neise activated tomorrow and Elmer sent down, and maybe Castillo on DL for Tejada, who will ride the bench while COra serves as the single worst starting 2B in MLB. And I don’t even think the race will be close.

Or maybe it is time to consider the fact that they are completely wasting this year for Jennry Mejia.

Amazing to me that this does not get more consideration.

Three appearances in the last two weeks.

Absolutely criminal. He could possibly be in the rotation now had he been starting in Buffalo the last six weeks.

I doubt he’s ready for the rotation. I’m not even sure he’s ready for the bullpen.

I’m worried they won’t make any moves since Omar’s working on the draft.

I had the same thought about the draft, but right now, it shouldn’t take more than about 5 minutes for the coffee boy to come up with the right set of moves to make.

If they lose the series to the Marlins because the pen is still a mess (after no moves to fix), fire Jerry, warthen and Omar on monday!

I was willing to give the Mejia experiment a chance (as instructed by TRS). But, at this point, you have to deem it a failure (or at least a waste).

ANd yes, I read the reports about how much he was learning from the vets out there. But, he never actually gets to use it.

If they decided to get value out of their #1 pitching prospect, and he was pitching regular key innings, then you could say the plan makes sense. At least the mets would be getting something out of him.

But having him pitch as much as Ollie, I do not understand. He seems to be the mop up guy, but when he gets a rare appearance, it is at some weird time like coming in with the bases loaded, after scrambling to warm up!

Either make him the 8th inning guy, or send him down.

He learned his “what it takes to be a MLer” lesson, now he can go spend a couple months remembering how to be a SP in Bingo.

I think my point has more been that they were going to limit him to 100 innings regardless so his time up here is not really hurting that if they eventually send him down.

Make the moves Omar. Surprise the fans by taking something passing for bold action. At least show you are still awake, and watching games! ANd if Jerry is really running the show, he should be on board too.

castillo DL (assuming doctors say to rest him), tejada up (best option now) or that turner(?) guy.

demote/DL Valdes and and Mejia for Parnell and Neise.

Ollie goes away (convince him to take the vacation), replace him with Misch.

GM for Feliciano would be something to do just to do something, or appease the fans. Although if they can actually get Ollie off the team, the fans should be plenty appeased!
