I like this feature. I really proves how small a sample size 1 week is!

And Ike didn’t have pretty numbers, other than supplying the most power and run production, which is what the clean up guy is supposed to do!

hpoefully he get back in a better groove soon, but didn’t they also face a ton of lefties in this stretch? (actually, since Frenchy was on the Hot sheet, it is almost a guarantee!)

I’ll throw this here. Our boy Ceetar, fighting the good fight.

I’m sure wahtever they do there will be a way to criticize them, whether they end up signing all the guys they wanted or not. Fans _always_ know which random college and high school prospects are better than the Mets. As do analysts who spend a limited amount of time on each prospect whereas the Mets spend days focused on the guys they want.

I don’t know if I can properly call it a trend but I have noticed more than once that one of the “coldest” guys has more RBI than any of the “hottest” guys since you’ve started posting these.

When Ike Davis has 5 RBI in a 5 game stretch it just feels wrong to call him one of the “coldest.” Unless this is one of those “RBI is an overrated stat” blogs…

    ;-)

It’s a “7 day slices are way to short to really tell amything meaningful” things.

Or like Ike figured out, if you aren’t getting many hits, make them all HRs with men on base!

Do not read too much into this post this is simply like you said a 7 day slice.

I am not trying to make any point other than show how A-B-C players have done in last 7 days.

Meaningful is how you take it I suppose.

:-) I post it based on BA and It is clear while sometimes a cold bat may not get a lot of hits when they do they make the best of them as in the case of Davis.

Davis while struggling to get hits has also made them count but at the same time I can’t ignore the .143/BA

That’s fair. You (and b-r.com) have to establish some parameters for discussion. I just find that RBI thing odd.
