For the draft, from what I was reading last night indicated the Mets were leaning towards #10 on your list Justin O’Connor.
Looking at Pat Misch’s outing yesterday, the Mets almost need to pick up another SP from the market because with the state of our pitching staff looks like we need more depth than we currently have…..

Maybe one of the Sale’s will make it and we’ll all feel better.
And I’m starting to agree with your last statement more and more. I still don’t want Millwood all that much, but Millwood will be better than the options currently available in house.

I would not put much into Misch’s start. Most likely just an off night. He had just came off of 4 VERY good starts going 29 innings and only giving up 4 runs and 17 hits while striking out 21 and only walking 2. Yeah a 21/2 K/BB rate. LOL.

Cox reportedly is asking for 6 million. I don’t want us to take him and if that number is accurate we most surely will not.

Monday’s Draft is essentially a three-player showcase — Harper, Machado, Taillon. “After that,” said one National League general manager, “there’s virtually no difference between the fourth and 44th picks. So in many ways, it’s really a scouts’ Draft. If your scouts are really good, you will be fine, except that it will be expensive.”

All the buzz surrounds O’Conner recently. Sure sounds intriguing. I concur on the not wanting Cox, he would be the one pick that will elicit disappointment from me. Otherwise I’ll just be excited about the future.

Schwinden has been another pitcher for Savannah that has been pleasant to see his box scores when he pitches.
Don’t know much on him other than he started the year out of the pen but looking forward to hearing fore from him.

Mack from Mack’s mets raised a good point.
suddenly, with Tejada, havens and Valdespin, the Mets actually have a nice pipeline of interesting 2B prospects. So Luis, get surgery or something. Or just go away. Please don’t come back anytime soon. And forget all about ST next year. Keep the money, we don’t mind.
Then again, mack also says that Tejada is the heir apparent (possibly) for when Reyes leaves after 2011, or sooner if they trade him fora top SP (he actually mentioned Reyes for Oswalt, but no one is perfect).
But, more likely one of these 2B guys ends up replacing Luis, 1 gets traded, and the 3rd just becomes a who dat?
I would not, however, be unhappy if Havens burst onto the scene taking the starting job in 2011, and Tejada won the Cora role as a BU MI.

jefry marte has got to be the worst fielder i have ever seen, statistically that is. he had like 50 errors last season and 17 already this season

I wonder what his problem is? ANd if there is a way to “fix” it, or would be be OK elsewhere, like at 1B or OF?
