Nice. What do people think about Bay still batting 3rd?
I’d prefer to see Wright, Bay and Davis as the 3-5 hitters.
Once Beltran comes back (he’s coming back, I swear) Wright-Beltran-Bay-Davis
I would wait couple more weeks and see if Wright can keep up with his hitting. He’s been hitting well past week or so, but I would still want to see Wright consistently hitting well before making the switch.

I definitely agree Wright should be hitting 3rd….but that is among the least of our managerial issues.
And Ike 6th is just fine as long as Barajas or Frenchy (while he is hot) bat 7th.
Case, if we win 2 of 3 the next 3 series, we are going to be contenders this year.
I really love all the homegrown guys. Please tell me when you are getting sick of me saying that…..

speaking of which, as I just tweeted, the Mets have NINE active rookies on the roster.

Awesome.
Amazing.
Fantastic.
I am SO confident that this team is going to be really good next year and great in 2012, that I almost don’t even care if we win anything this year.
Almost.

Four of which are Igarashi, Takahashi, Carter, and Valdes.
So it’s really five TR00 prospect rookies.

Well, let’s split the difference and say 7, as Iggy and Takahashi may actually be valuable for a few years….

Absolutely. Not saying Iggy, Taka, and even Carter aren’t potentially valuable. They’re just a different “type” of rookies, if that makes any sense.

why wouldn’t Carter count? Just because of his age?

Just slide FMart into RF and Thole behind the plate and we might just be seeing a future Met team.
6 totally homegrown players, and Bay and Pagan were Met minor leaguers too.

Feliciano will be wearing 27, for those that care.

Ah, Craig Swan’s number! Hopefully Jesus can resuscitate this proud number from the stench Figgy left on it….
Yeah, I was watching regularly in the mid 70s….

Catalanotto too.
His ideal would be 23, but carter beat him to it.

Doug Flynn? I remember when he won a Gold Glove in 1980; it was clearly the highlight of the year. Pretty pathetic.
