NO MO MO! NO MO MO! NO MO MO!

Well color me surprised. I knew we were probably up there, but first? Here’s hoping we’re still first in ERA come the end of June.
And Philly 28th? Even better….

The number is all about the walks baby. Right there in the chart. ONly 26 walks in 102 innings.
ANd yes, maine and Ollie being out have a lot to do with that number!
6/15/2010-11:56am at 11:56 am (UTC -4)
Good point. That’s a real good stat for the Mets pitching staff.
Does this include Dickey’s 8 walk game?
6/15/2010-11:54am at 11:54 am (UTC -4)
11 is a really small sample size. There were times in late April when we had the best, or near the top, ERA too.
6/15/2010-11:58am at 11:58 am (UTC -4)
Dude really? How about just enjoying the moment.
6/15/2010-12:03pm at 12:03 pm (UTC -4)
I’m in a bad mood. *shrug*
I just don’t think the numbers really reflect anything. Looking for long term consistancy out of this team. I know they can be this good, I just hope they don’t turn around and walk the next 50 batters.
6/15/2010-12:04pm at 12:04 pm (UTC -4)
its ok Ollie + Maine will add some BB and ER to those later…
6/15/2010-12:10pm at 12:10 pm (UTC -4)
Hopefully, they’ll add some Ks.
6/15/2010-2:30pm at 2:30 pm (UTC -4)
i’ll take the wins instead
6/15/2010-12:02pm at 12:02 pm (UTC -4)
Is there a glitch in that stat package or has no team in fact had even one quality start this month?
As Stickguy noted the walks are big. Getting rid of the guys who walked 5.7/9 (Maine) and 7.7/9 (Perez) goes a long way.
Coincidence or not, since Maine last pitched in an MLB game the Mets are 15-6, and since Ollie last pitched in an MLB game the Mets are 9-2.
6/15/2010-12:06pm at 12:06 pm (UTC -4)
and 6-1 since Ollie has been sent away…and 30-13 when neither Ollie or Maine pitch
i dont see the coincidence…
6/15/2010-12:37pm at 12:37 pm (UTC -4)
now there’s something I never thought I’d see. Let’s keep it going.
