The New York Mets today announced that they will hold a “Mets Fans Go Gaga for Wright” Night this Wednesday, against the Detroit Tigers in a effort to send David Wright to the Major League Baseball All-Star Game.
The first 20,000 fans attending the 7:10 p.m. game will receive a blue “Make Wright #1″ foam finger,
encouraging fans to use the right finger and vote for Wright as the National League’s starting third baseman July 13 in Anaheim. Wright is currently tied for third place in voting behind front runner Placido Polonco of the Philadelphia Phillies !
He’s batting .288 with 12 home runs, and his .411 average
against left handers leads the NL. Wright is batting .403 (27-67) with
20 RBI over his last 17 games.
You can do your duty as a Mets fan by voting for Wright by filling out the 2010 All-Star Game Ballot on
Mets.com and MLB.com. Fans can vote up to 25 times online. Vote early and often my friends – David deserves to represent us as a starter !!!

I figured Angel Pagan is at least a legitimate candidate, as much as I like Ike. So I vote for Murphy cause it’s funny and Pujols is winning the vote anyway.

Done and done. Voted 25 times, all 25 writing in Pagan. Can’t believe he’s not even on the damn ballot.
Just another thing that’s wrong with the AS voting. It starts too early and it goes on for too long. If they insist on letting us fans vote, I think it should only be for 3 weeks right before they have to tally the votes. At least you’d have a better idea of who deserves to go.
