    Nice job by Savannah.

Congrats to them on clinching 1st half.

Why were there two catcher in Buffalo? Did Thole get hurt?

    1. metro

Sorry, should have mentioned… House started, Thole pinch hit and stayed in the game.

      1. CaseStreet

ah, thanks. We need a healthy Thole for a possible trade I’m working out with my boy Jack Z.

Who needs Pineiro, we got Pinera!

  4. metro

Pineiro has quietly been quite a bargain for the Angels. Good move by them.

    1. trs86

He’s been his career average. Sad that a 4.50 ERA at 8M a year is “quite a bargain”. If so then Taka must be “one hell of a bargain”.

        Trs,
Look deeper than that. He’s had 2 HORRIBLE starts otherwise he’s been excellent.

        14 starts
        12 starts 6+ innings
6 starts 7 or more innings
8 or more innings 4 times
4 or less runs 11 times
3 or less runs 9 times
2 or less runs 7 times

        He’s been worth every penny.

I’ll take 12 good/great starts for every 2 horrid one every day of the week.

    2. Mr North Jersey

He has 2 really bad outings but overall he looks to have pitched pretty good for them.

        I dunno, anything over 4 ERs aint that good. 6 ER, 9 ER, 6 ER, 9 ER… That’s 4 bad starts out of 14.

        1. Mr North Jersey

I think everyone will agree with you on that one TX.

All I said was that he had 2 “really” bad outings.

        2. metro

Yeah but how about 6 starts 7 or more innings, 4 or less runs 10 times aka games he gave your team a chance to win? or the 2 complete games which not only were great starts but saved the bullpen? just as the other 2 8 inning performances did. The whole Mets rotation combined probably doesn’t have more than 6 starts of 7 or more innings and if they do it’s close.

  5. metsfan4decades

Didn’t waste much time getting some of the signed 2010 picks in the lineup….

  6. CaseStreet

BTW, aside from 2010 picks, who plays in Brooklyn? Rookie League guys?

    1. metro

To be honest BK is normally guys drafted that year, guys who are repeating and some rookie league guys. The guys to watch this year would be

      Almonte
      Cuan
Sheppard (2010 pick, potential setup man)
      Kountis (2010 pick, live arm)
Nelson Periera (tiny lefty formerly of the Pirates system)
JB Brown (2010 pick, potential utility player)
Darrell Ceciliani (probably the best prospect on the team)
      Corey Vaughn (2010 pick)

      1. CaseStreet

        thanks metro
