According to a report from MLBTR: The Mets signed Ramon Ortiz to a minor league deal, according to Gerard Guilfoyle of SNY (via Twitter).
According to that same report Ortiz will start for the Bisons tonight. While not a sexy name and I hope we never see him on the MLB team, it’s a good move for depth.

well the move was made purely b/c they need someone to start in Buffalo. i mean i think this signing is completely irrelevant for the MLB club but I was just surprised that no-one jumped off the deep end…
