Its never not a big deal

      Huh?
      Never not?

Beware of questioning language or opinions here….

yes because if you dont agree with kingman, he will go out of his way to insult you than participating in an adult debate…beware….

          1. Kingman 26

            “Adult”???

Do you know what the term “Dirty Sanchez” means???

Those who don’t google it and enjoy!

          2. dirtysanchez

what the hell does that have to do with what I said??…oh im sorry, yes i agree…or else we might be turning into metsblog

          3. Kingman 26

Do you actually know what the term means?

Just have always found it especially humorous when someone who chooses a name like that talks down to someone.

And again, I most certainly NEVER have disputed peoples’ right to disagree.

I am guilty of overreaction sometimes, but my reactions NEVER are based on the idea of disagreeing.

Have I ever been rude to Wanny, TRS, Rusty, Stick, MF4D, Fong, Gategem, Hazmet, NJStuck, or any of the many people who always maturely and rationally express their opinions (certainly usually more maturely than me)?

          4. Kingman 26

Or Grave or Case, probably the two most mature and rational people here….

          5. dirtysanchez

Yes king i know what the term means

This isnt the first and im sure not the last time you have been called to the carpet for the way you rudely treat our posters sometimes. There is a way to disagree and debate with MATURITY. Something I guess you still need to learn….those guys are a good example though, should take some notes ;)

          6. Kingman 26

Correct and agreed. Definitely have a temper sometimes, and sometimes regret it. Never claimed to be perfect, and usually I apologize when I lose my temper.

But how can you choose a name like that and question someone else’s maturity?

          7. dirtysanchez

Dont know what a handle has to do with ones maturity but if you want to hang your hat on that, be my guest.

          8. dirtysanchez

And for the record, to me it doesnt matter how passionate you or anyone else is, the more the better. My beef is uncalled for and unnecessary name calling or insults toward someone who is just expressing an opinion, no matter how much it conflicts with yours or anyones own.

          9. Kingman 26

Understood. I will work harder at controlling my negative impulses.

      2. njstuckintx

        Double negatives mean positive, right?

    2. ceetar

Depends really, plenty of people get stiff backs here and there. It happens.

    3. metsfan4decades

This is not 2009, at least I refuse to believe we can be this unlucky two years in a row…

  4. gipperpdx

    Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

  5. GravediggerHebner

Stupid Jerry Manuel bringing Jose Reyes to these games in Puerto Rico. ;-)

        Blame Canada !

  6. GravediggerHebner

    First Marlins, now Tarpon.

  7. metsfan4decades

    Oh, no…..
I don’t know about you all but I’m still shell shocked from last year. Keeping my fingers crossed this is not a big deal.

  8. njstuckintx

Now we can’t include Tejada in a deal for Lee or Oswalt or Haren. Poo…

  9. njstuckintx

On a side note, MLBTR says Mets not interested in Millwood or Westbrook. Cue up my sighs of relief and TRS’s screams of NOOOOOOOOOO?!?!?!?!!! and WHYYYYYY?!?!?!?! :)

    1. dirtysanchez

They must feel that they have a real shot at getting lee or oswalt. Milwood and Westbrook is like plan C and D

      1. njstuckintx

Unless there is something like Lilly really in the works. And I’m not a big fan of Millwood or Westbrook, but they would be serviceable. Kind of encouraging in that it seems they are setting their sights higher than overpaid cast offs!

      2. Kingman 26

I really think they are going to get one of those two…we have SO many good prospects, and every day that Ike, Niese, Tejada, and now Parnell succeed (and Thole has the pinch hit to tie the game in the 9th last night!) has to make all of our prospects and our whole system look better.

        1. Hazmet

The thought I keep trying to put out of my head is how a healthy Murphy would have been a perfect part of a trade package for Lee. Young, good stick, DH or 1B. Any vision on the Mariner’s part would ask for him anyway as part of a package with the eye towards next year. It would also be a great move for Murph to get him into the league he would fit better in imo since he’s both blocked here and more a DH type.

Ugghh, Pelf giving up the double after they post him a 3 spot.

          1. Kingman 26

            Great point.

But it may be a blessing in disguise for us, as Murph really might be an amazing supersub next year, filling in at 1B, 2B, LF, and pinch hitting and pinch running.

Surely Tatis, and hopefully Cora, will be gone, and if Tejada is our 2B and Slappy’s gone too, Murph could be just perfect for the bench.
