He’s been so/so. started out good, went down from there. .185 vs. LH and .273 vs RH. He’s closed games in the past so that’s a bonus.

Now, if he comes with Marcum as part of a package, sign me up (pending OK physical from Marcum)!

Man they have a young pitching staff. Forget Gregg though. Go for Downs. He’s great, adds another LHRP but one that can pitch a full inning.

Is Downs arb. eligible or a FA next year? Or am I thinking of the wrong Bluejay BP guy?

Gregg is certainly better than anyone in our pen…if the price is right then go get him

Anyone? Uh oh. I feel another Krod defense mechanism kicking in. I just don’t have time.

        i mean pen besides K-Rod

I wanted gregg in the off seaosn. Not great thisyear, but certainly a worthwhile addition. But not much different from Parnell or Iggy at this point potentially.

But, I still have no faith in jerry to use the pen correctly, no matter who is in it. Like Torre, RPs must live in fear of the Jidiot destroying their arms through over and mis use.

Gregg is much more of a sure thing than Igarashi or Parnell who have yet to show any consistency at the MLB level.

is he lights out, no but is he someone that we can rely on to pitch a full inning and get the job done, yes.

Gregg looks like he’s going to be a type-B FA. So who do the Mets give up?

hopefully not much. Again, they would have to offer arb next year, and if he accepts, they end up with an overpriced RP.
