Video: Werth Once Again Shows His Recent Frustrations With Philly Fans

Hat tip to Mets Today for this link. You have to wonder what is going on in Werth’s head. It is not like the fan was leaning over the railing or even saw him coming for that matter.

    Burning Bridges.

I was watching this game on MLB network last night and saw that play. They guys in the booth calling that game were actually speechless for a few seconds, then followed up saying something like ‘that’s just wrong, I mean there was a young kid involved there too who looked stunned at Werth’s outburst. Just wrong’….

for sure wrong. Once the ball is in the stands, it is fan territory. And the fans are going to be looking up, and the first instinct is to reach up and try to catch the ball (as opposed to letting it clonk off your kids head!).

Werth for sure was out of line.

It’s tough not to react when the ball is comin your way. Also his kid was right there and he wasn’t going to just sit there. Tough situation.

Wonder if his kid was calling him Bartman on the ride home.

no need to burn them. He was expecting to leave all along after this year, since he was not expecting the Phillies to pony up the big $. And once they committed them to Howard, that pretty much sealed the deal.

One of the best aspects (2nd only to them losing) of a potential Phils fade away is watching the fans turn on them. There were a few guys that they did not like all that much anyway, and they are quite fickle, but the winning kept everything under wraps.

But, I really think that if they tank and end up sub .500 and say 10 out, the mouths on the team (vicky), Werth (since he is leaving) and Hamels (just because) are going to start getting an earful.

and from experience, if they start answering back, the jackels will be all over them and quick!

I thought it was classless, you curse at the guy right in front of his kid-
and the guy said nothing in return. Werth’s days a numbered. I hope he’s not traded to the Yankees for Vasquez.

I can’t believe the foresight involved in debuting that site a 9:00pm last night. Brilliant.

    2. metsfan4decades

Why am I visiting this site? Which I did, by the way, but I expected to see something different.
I guess this is something that went over my head?

  7. mrose

Werth was probably thinking about this http://www.phightinphils.com/2010/07/jayson-werth-and-jennifer-utley-having-an-affair.html

    Also… Mr North… I don’t get it…why are we visiting?

    1. Mr North Jersey

      Can you expand on visiting?

I think he’s wondering what our motivation is for clicking on 7traintoshea?

        1. Mr North Jersey

Oh LoL I was actually being sarcastic sorry. My apologies Mrose.

          1. mrose

            no apologies necessary…

Lots of evidence recently surfacing revealing the cracks in the Philly juggernaut’s foundation.

Whoops, I mean kudos to Werth for being the latest Phillie to demonstrate all the heart, guts, grit & talent that their team embodies.

      hahaha – touche…

I think I’m really, really going to enjoy baseball this summer, watching the mighty fall.

Some fans over on BL speculating if the Yanks will now flip them Lee for Werth. Sure, and the moon is made up of orange cheese…..

      1. stickguy

don’t get too cocky. They haven’t fallen yet. And if they keep pulling out wins like last night that they have no business winning, they won’t.

        1. metsfan4decades

          Bah…..

  9. stickguy

Now, this is the way it is supposed to be done. There is also another video on the M’s site that shows her getting a bag full of stuff from the team.

Phillies fan, gets cursed out. Pretty much sums up the difference between Seattle and Philly!

If you look at one of the different angle replays, you can see where Iciro seems to get quite the feel up her thigh. Maybe that’s why she was so excited?

        1. Mr North Jersey

Def saw that it was awesome.

        2. DNDJohan aka kistics

          hey hey.. she looks underage…

        3. trs86

Patted her on the leg and ask her if she was ok.

        4. metsfan4decades

There is no doubt in my mind that’s why she was so excited. She didn’t give a hoot that he came down on her head trying to make that catch. Was too excited that he touched her thigh, making sure she was all right.

          Good stuff…..

  10. DNDJohan aka kistics

I feel bad for the kid… I hope he becomes a Mets fan.
