game day news: Â Pelfrey has a stiff neck from the plane ride, will wait until Monday to pitch. Â Reyes not in the lineup, despite swinging and feeling mostly better. Â Probably won’t start tomorrow either.
Head over to the dugout if you’re staying up. Â I’m sure a handful of us at least will be there for chatter.

It will be nice if they can actaully get the “real” team back on the field in the next couple of days, so they can also clean up the weird bench they have at the moment.
Big game here. Gonna be seriously concerned about the road trip if they lose again tonight, since I doubt they will win both of the last 2 games, and they really need a split here. split here, split in LA, and take the AZ series and they are either 6-5 or 7-4 on the trip. If they can do that, they should still be in the hunt and considered contendors.
a 3-8 debacle though could put them out of the division, and not in good shape for the WC>
so yeah, they need a winning trip to make up for spitting the bit on the last home stand.

Of this lineup, compared to the guys they expected to be the everyday guys on Opening Day, only half of them. Frenchy, Bay, Barajas and Wright. Beltran was on DL, Reyes was going to replace Tejada in 4 days, Davis wasn’t here, and Castillo was playing second.

Depending on the source it’s either Turner up, Evans down or Turner missed his flight and isn’t there.

I think it’s confirmed that Turner is there, but not that he’s actually been activated? It’s all confusing.

Burkhart has him here and activated for Evans.

Let’s Go Mets!
I’m headed over to the dugout.
KB saying yesterday they were discussing just shutting Reyes down. Today, he feels much better, took batting practice from both sides. Here’s hoping that means he’s on his way to that elusive 100%
KB also reporting that the Mets sound like they’re inclined to make a decision about Ollie after his start tomorrow – not wait the full 30 days. Didn’t know what type of decision – whether it’s just shut him down for the year or something similar but he said to expect to hear something about Ollie sooner rather than later.

I knew the Phillies got beat earlier. I see the Braves did as well. Nice. Chance to gain some ground tonight.

Spoke too soon I see. Braves losing 9-3 in the bottom of the 8th.
