Alex Cora Disgusted After Loss Is Not Happy To Hear Laughter In The Clubhouse

In a article from the NY Post Alex Cora still bothered by the Mets latest loss was bothered to hear laughter coming from the direction of Mike Pelfrey and some reporters that he got up and as he left the room in a raised voice said,

A little respect, please! They stuck it up our [butts].

Jason Bay who did not witness it 1st hand once he got wind of it said,

“We need something,” Bay said. “You know what I mean?”

Bay is right the Mets do need something. They need to string some wins together.

This is not good – Jerry might be on the verge of losing the team

Kind of gives you a preview of what type of manager Cora will be someday.

      Agreed.

He is already with the team. Can he start tonight?

“Cora livid after Mets latest lackluster “L”.

    Sigh.

Wow. This is not good and is the kind of thing that loses fans.

Definitely have to give props to the devout Anti-Jerryites if this is true.

If Pelf–of ALL people–is laughing it up after another loss, it might really be time for a change.

Thanks very much for posting this Mr N; I wish it was not true.

Cannot picture a Davey/Bobby/Teufel/Showalter/Wally clubhouse yukking it up last night.

Actually according to reports there were quite a few incidents like this under Davey’s tenure based on some books I have read.

That being said they were usually in a position to laugh it up even after a loss and this team is not.

      2. Kingman 26

Uh, maybe….but for 6 years the team was in or right near 1st place. If there had been a WC they would have made the playoffs just about every year under Davey.

Laughing after a loss when you are on the way to yet another 90+ win year is not quite the same as laughing last night.

no Davey’s players were much more behaved…doing coke on the team flights is nothing compared to laughing after a loss

      1. trs86

Actually from reading “The Bad Guys Won” they were too busy cussing Davey and telling him to his face he sucked.

MLB is not populated by choirboys.

        No pro sport is.

I love this quote, amongst the horrible games, at least some players are annoyed, even if our manager is laughing. I have to say, I’ve never been a big “fire manuel” guy… but I’m ready to let the firing happen.

cora then proceeded to go 0-4 with 3 ground outs to second base.
