“the only positive is that I have not been held accountable and fired, lot Milt Thompson was by the Phils”
but if you find on the field positives, about the only ones I can think of are Thole looks good, and Beltran does not seem to have missed a beat. Still curious how much (if any) HR power returns, and when.
He’s hit two home runs just foul, So i think his power will be just fine. (not the above norm 41 that Francessa banks on like amoron, but the 25-30 type power and most career home runs against the Cardinals in the post season..)
I saw this interview last night. Nothing really to be said as no one has that magic pill needed, least of all HoJO.
What struck me though was he appeared to have lost a lot of weight compared to an interview I remember seeing last year. Hope that was by design and not an illness. As much as I comment nightly in the dugout ‘FIRE HOJO’, it’s nothing personal….
I do agree with the others that feel many met batters stand way far off the plate. When you have to lean over and strech way out and can barely toch a ball on th eouter edge of the plate, you ain’t getting full coverage!
I am surprised more guys don’t hang over. Put a wrist guard on, and dare the pitcher to throw inside. Most wont, and if they do, make a big production out of it to get them warned.

I wish someone would just come out and say “the way this team is playing sucks”

Well, Hojo should have said what he really feels:

I’m not a hitting coach, so i don’t really have anything to say on the topic really.

So now that the Phillies fired Milt Thompson their hitting coach will Mets follow by firing Howard Johnson?

I’d love to know what the positives are other than faster games.

They collect their paychecks whether they hit successfully or not.
