THe Mets have absolutley no starting pitching in the minors. Nada. Zippo. Outside of maybe a couple kids in rookie ball.
If you want t reason they aren’t making any big, splashy trades for stars, this is a big one. Teams trading studs want ML ready or close to it pitching back.
Mets are loaded with OFs with some power though. Plus they have F Mart!
also a reason I like the idea of getting a harden, oswalt type, since they are under contract for next year too, and the will need some more SP.
actually, that is why I wanted them to take a flyer on that Maya dude. Wonder how much he ended up getting from the Nats (the team that seems to be trying to corner the market on SPs?)

The Mets don’t have no pitching other than Gee in AAA and Mejia in AA and some arms that have struggled at AA like Josh Stinson.
They have in the lower levels arms like Brandon Moore in ST Lucie, Armando Rodriguez and James Fuller in Savannah.
Moore and Rodriguez have been raking in the strikeouts and deserve to be watched as they continue to develop.

I’m very high on Rodriguez. Moore on the other hand is an extreme soft-tosser (85-86 on the FB)
