Mets trade Rancid player
The dominoes have begun to fall Mets fans! According to Bisons.com the Buffalo Bisons have called Nick Evans up to AAA to fill the roster spot created by…are you sitting down…Mike Jacobs being traded to the Toronto Blue Jays organization for a player to be named later.

The Player to be Named later will likely be Mike Jacobs once they see him play.

Wow, good job Omar. Then again, even a blind squirrel finds a nut from time to time.

Nice!
Even if the player to be named is Timmy Lupus, we still got a good deal.

well the Mets wanted to play Nick the Stick at 3rd but prospect Zach Lutz just came back from injury (and promptly hit a HR in each of his 1st 2 games back) and Eric Campbell (also 1B/3B/OF) coming back soon and with Ratilff, Kirk, Moldonado and Raul Reyes in the OF, they simply had no room. This allows Evans to play 1B or 3B everyday

Plus it gives the BJs a minor league 1B for the one they moved to Houston. Makes sense and is a no brainer.

I’m just glad you didn’t add the “a minor” after that. Then there would be some investigations for sure!

You should know by now that once a player puts on the pinstripes they are great.

If you give a crap about what Heyman says he just stated that “The Yanks will get someone but it won’t be Dunn – they’re out of that.”

Heyman’s thing seems to be volume. talk about enough crap and eventually something you say will be right.

Who is the worst of Heyman, Olney, Kirjian or Stark?

Someone somewhere should keep stats on these guys vis a vis what they report versus what actually happens.

I’d have to rank them Kirkjian, Stark, Heyman, Olney, but to me that’s like going Castro, Chavez, Moussilini, Hitler.
I do enjoy Keith Law though.

One thing I give Heyman credit for is in his tweets anyway when he notes that a particular trade is officially final he credits the person who initially broke it.
Such as “Bonilla to the Mets is done, nice work by Rosenthal.”

Olney and Heyman are my choices for worst, with Olney winning as he has actually admitted on ESPN that some of his trade “rumors” are actually just his own ideas.
Let’s not leave out one of Fox’s many highly paid prevaricators, Ken Rosenthal. He can lie with the best of them.

Sort of like Franceour with the bat. Swing at every pitch, occasionally you’ll connect with one….

Excellent. If anyone does keep stats on these reporters the stat should be referred to as a “Frenchy.”
“What is Heyman’s Frenchy?”
“Well, he said 10 trades would happen and 5 actually did so his Frenchy is 50%.”

Jacobs? Just goes to show you there’s a market for every player somewhere.
Ike Davis on WFAN right now.

So, bay to DL. sounds like a smart move.
But Feliciano up? WHy? How about someone that can actually hit, with some power?
Or is that a non -issue since they are just replacing Slappy McBayster?
Evans? Duda?
worst thing is, this means that Frenchy will be starting FT, doesn’t it?
Often I scratch my head, trying to understand the thought process that this team uses to reach decisions.
