well yes, but I can’t listen to audio at work, so a quick summary couldn’t hurt.
I mean, did he have anything particularly insightful to say regarding news or Bay or pitching rotations or thoughts going forward from the manager/team or was it just his opinion on what the Mets need/will do and btw they’re out of it so stop caring because i predicted they suck and will stick with that?

Pointless to make a change in season managerial wise.
Minaya may have more of an advisory role.
Wilpons will have a big say if Manuel is fired.
Gave reasons to why Backman may be next manager.
1. Money 2. Sells better to fans
discussed a scenario where the Longer Jerry goes this season the better chance at backman becoming manager.

I believe it was Rubin who recently wrote a long thorough column on why Backman was likely to be the manager in 2011 and you just summed up the key points here.
I believe it was part of ESPNNY’s “Tuesday in-depth” series (or a name similar to that).
