Jerry pulled a Jerry by announcing Taka as the starter for Saturday’s game, then in turn saying he may have to dip into AAA if Taka is needed in the pen. Taka only pitched one inning so he should be fine for Saturday… but if they do call up Misch for the start who goes down? We all know who it SHOULD be but who WILL it be?
Rubin has more on the debate here: Misch promotion looming?

“If Misch goes up, who goes down
spinning wheel, going ’round
talkin’ ’bout 8th inning guy’s a cryin’ sin
ride the effin’ pink slip let the Ollie Perez spin!”
Or words to that effect.

The cadence of TRS’ headline made me think of this song then I just changed the words a little. No big whoop.

Valdes is the only real option.

exactly what i was thinking, will the team do whats right and cut ollie or just send valdes down again?

gee, I guess you mean ollie should be the one, right? But IMO if he is still here, he is going to make the end of the year. And likely sent home with pay on 9/1 when they can call up some extra arms.
then take the winter to try and find a use for him. if not, possibly he gets a shot in ST to compete, although it would be nicer to see him long gone before them.
So, if it ain’t ollie, the only logical choice is valdes.
so based on that, I have no clue what the Mets will do, but another DL stint? could happen. Give him a couple of innings if there is a blowout, then parlay that into some soreness, and boom, DL!

Jerry definitely announced tonight on post game Taka would not start on Saturday and would use him in the 8th inning tomorrow and going forward, if the opportunity comes up.
As soon as Taka came in for the 8th, Gary asked Ronnie if he could still start Sat and Ronnie said, no – no way he’s starting now on Saturday’s game.
So he’s out on Sat as the starter. Jerry did not speculate on just who the starter would be. In fact, I don’t recall that the beat guys even asked him.
My first choice would be giving the edge to Misch over Gee. Misch pitched some nice games for us last year going down the stretch.

Looks like a tear jerker.
Oh and if you grew up watching Chiller on WPIX You may remember a old horror flick called “Don’t be afraid of the dark”. Well their is a remake coming out by Guillermo Del Toro that looks awesome.

I try and avoid paying to see movies staring Nick at Night performers. Unless my daughter drags me. Or it looks particularly interesting…

As a child that opening sequence scared the crap out of me. Whenever I saw the word “Chiller” on the ground I was always careful to take a wide berth walking around it for fear of the hand.
