You have to wonder what possibly triggered KRod to get so angry tonight?

    1. oleosmirf

i think it was b/c he missed hard knocks on HBO

    2. Ceetar

his FIL said Oliver Perez will get in a game before he does.

Maybe he was fed up with Jerry’s horrendous managing just like we are. He reportedly told reporters to go away before all this happened, so he was already in a foul mood before the altercation went down.

    1. TRS86

Or perhaps that is why he was in a foul mood. Could be marital issues.

  3. oleosmirf

lol im excited to see how bad Jerry manages to botch this bullpen now.

    1. TRS86

Eh, unless Krod is injured, he won’t be gone long.

      1. oleosmirf

come on TRS, you know better.

I would be shocked to see him back this season.

        1. TRS86

OK I bet 15 TRDM dollars that we see him in August.

          1. oleosmirf

            deal

  4. TRS86

    3rd degree assault.

Guys have came back in season from DUI’s. Not much different.

    1. oleosmirf

i think the Wilpons will take it out on him. not sure how it works but maybe even saves them money by suspending him without pay or something

      1. TRS86

Not sure there is a clause in the contract allowing that. Suspending for 3rd degree assault? The 86 Mets would have been screwed in Houston then.
Besides, when’s the court date? Most likely after the season. It’s a class A misdemeanor. That’s like reckless driving.

        1. Mr North Jersey

Man KRod’s violent behavior is a black mark on the Mets. Why would the Mets risk further embarrassment? They should get rid of him right TRS?

          HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

I mean what’s next Backman becoming managaer?

          LMAO

          1. TRS86

LOL, don’t you think there is a little bit of a difference in
            A) Hitting a grown man instead of a female
            B) A player and a manager?

          2. Mr North Jersey

LoL TRS I see I should of knowN that had Backman hit a man rather than a women as a player and not a manager you would then not hold his past against him.

            My mistake :-)

          3. TRS86

Yup, you got it. Men get in fights. Especially athletes. I don’t care how many fights Wally got in as a player. However, as a coach/manager it think it’s a bigger deal. Of course the bigger issue is male vs female.

          4. Mr North Jersey

LoL trs only you can see a difference.

        2. oleosmirf

this isnt 1986 anymore. in a world of political correctness, punching a senior citizen in the face doesnt get you a slap on the wrist especially when you arent the most likeable guy in the first place.

the Wilpons are all about principle and i could see them coming at him hard.

          1. Mr North Jersey

            Is he a senior citizen?

I didn’t see anywhere his age reported.

For all I know the Man is like 49 yrs old.

          2. TRS86

Hey NJ, can you go back to the shoot the ish site and give me some opinions? Having a change of thoughts.

          3. Mr North Jersey

            im in the chat

  5. metsfan4decades

    Just what this circus needs.

  6. oleosmirf

i just think its funny that now Jerry will have the task of finding a closer during a time where he has completely botched the effort to find an 8th inning guy.

you dont have to go back that far to see how Jerry fared when we lacked a closer…

    1. metsfan4decades

      LOL..
It won’t be necessary. If Myers can assault a couple of women, one of which was his wife, and pitch the very next day, I’m think KRod won’t be missing much time either.

      1. oleosmirf

well he is definitely unavailable for today’s afternoon game and Santana is pitching so its pretty easy to know how this is gonna play out.

Santana will have the lead and instead of letting Santana finish, jerry will pull him, everyone will complain about it, and the collection of relievers will blow it.

    2. Ceetar

Problem solved. David Wright will close tonight.

  7. njstuckintx

Man, this site loads about 50 times better when on firefox than IE.

Anywho, when does Krod’s option automatically kick in?

And when does the Sign Carl Crawford, trade Pagan and some kids for a SP and potential closer talks start?

    1. oleosmirf

it stopped when the Mets signed Jason Bay last offseason. trading Pagan is possibly the dumbest thing they can do right now.

however packaging F-Mart in a deal for Garza/Shields is something they should really look into.

      1. njstuckintx

I just threw that Crawford thing out there for giggles.

And yes, I’d take Garza/Shields in a heartbeat.

        1. oleosmirf

there has got to be a way they can get one of those 2 without giving up Mejia, Kirk, Havens or any of our important current starters.

is F-Mart, Parnell and Valdespin something they might be interested in?
