Let me take a second to explain some of our new features/ updates of old features.
Middle:
- The Slide Show includes our newest 3 post. You can click there to access the story.
- Below the Slide Show under the heading “More From TRDM” includes our next 4 most recent post.
- Under the heading “In Case You Missed It” will be 6 more of our most current post.
- If you are looking for something prior to that you may use the “Older Entries” link at the bottom.
- Near the bottom of the page you will find our famous The Real Dirty Dugout. Here you can chat till your heart is content. Many of your favorite authors and users come together to analyze all the latest Mets moves and hopefully enjoy a good game.
Right Hand Side Bar:
- On the Right Hand Side Bar you will find 3 tabs. Those 3 tabs include Recent Comments, New Post, and the Tag Cloud.
- As always the Sportsypder and MLBTR widgets are here.
- Also you will find our Facebook widget. If you are a user and have not joined please do so.
- Finally on the Right Hand Side Bar you will find our Blogroll, home to all your favorite Mets links.
Left Hand Side Bar:
- Your login features are located here. Again, you old user name should work but you will need to reset your password by clicking the forgot password link.
- A new Twitter feature is also here, I like this one. You can keep up with many of your favorite Mets sources as well as TRDM authors.
Other:
- A search box near the header allows you to search for anything on our site, including past articles, authors, or tags.
- In the comment section (after clicking on a post) you may still comment just as before. To reply to another comment just hover over the comment and a reply feature will appear.
I am sure there are things I have missed. I look forward to your comments and suggestions. You may choose to email those or place them here.

It _is_ possible I believe to manually set peoples passwords if you have access to the hosting. I changed an annoying commenters username on my site like that.

I think so..that slideshow widget at the top confuses me. I can’t see the layout so I don’t really know what order this stuff flows in, I’m not a huge fan of the non-linear post timeline.

at least you are off the old host. that was the slowest, least reliable, site on the internet.
Here though, why is this so skinny? I have a 23″ widescreen monitor, and about 1/4 of it (1/8th on each side) is not being used. and with the sidebars, the text area is very skinny, especially for replies.

I agree that it feels a little narrow. It’s a waste to have the dirt/homeplate background on the sides isn’t it?

It is a little narrow. We have a dilemma. Most themes now are this width to solve monitor, IE, netbook, etc issues from previous sites being to large. I will attempt to adjust it.

the trick is to use percentages instead of fixed pixel widths generally. I’m looking at it in a 15in monitor.

As for the slideshow, NJ and others, it takes the first 3 post and puts them in the slide show. The next 4 go into the more from trdm, the next 6 go in the in case you missed it and the others are hidden in older articles.

I been adding the banner and background that somehow got wiped when the database was brought over it seems.
I also been fixing some of the posts that had lost their featured images.
I also went through most posts from the last 2 days disabling allow pings.
Authors make sure you uncheck the allow pings option toward bottom of your posts so we may avoid spam.
