Am I reading that Tweet correctly? The animal is batting cleanup?

Kong is going to have an embolism or something.

with all do respect to Kong, Carter has been our best hitter in August. In fact, the last time Carter started a game and failed to get a hit was June 18th.

I think its well within reason that Carter is our best option as the 3rd OF…

I know, it’s just fun to see him get riled up about it. I say that with love, Kong, just so you know.

As for Carter, I am all for him playing. Now, batting 4th… Not so certain about that, but If he can progress and be that 4th OF/PH power off the bench, I’ll take it for sure. And who knows, if Beltran’s knee goes south, you’re looking at Bay, Pagan and… And no, I don’t pencil in Fmart for that spot. I hope he grabs it by the short hairs, but until that happens, I don’t count on him for anything.

i think carter has some of the best at bats on the team. surely better than the clown who ordinarily plays RF.

            if only that were true.

Well, Frenchy swings at 60% of the pitches he sees and Carter 53%.

thats right I forgot, Jeff Francouer’s BA, OBP, OPS are all higher than Carters, silly me.

sometimes I wonder if you actually believe what you write or do you just say these things in denial…

    Pelf.

another interesting, what the hell, might as well try something new, lineup by the Jerrymaster.

Not like they are going to hit anyway, but man, the Mets must be setting a record for most different guys to hit clean up.

even better, about 5 of them have spent time in the minors this year (and not on rehab). jacobs, cat, carter, ike for sure. Are there any others?

nice to see Carter getting more starts. As brutal as he looks in the field, he is easily the best offensive option.
