This is a true “pick your poison question” and one that I dread asking but as Met Fans we must face this reality because the air is getting chilly at night and October Baseball is right around the corner. Right now both the Braves and the Phillies are poised to make the playoffs but if you had to choose, which one would you pick to win the NL East?
No cheating, you can’t say the Mets or Marlins( and don’t you even think about putting the Nats down).

The Braves, only because it would be fitting that when we are finally getting rid of Bobby Cox, he’ll come back to win another pennant.

I could slit my throat for saying this – but I hope it’s the Braves

No debate in my mind….the Braves. The 90s are more a distant memory than 2007, 2008 and 2009….
I thought coming into this season the Braves were going to be tough this year.
In fact I’m rooting for any team that can knock the Phillies out of the Wild Card. Go Giants! Go St. Louis!

Don’t we have to root for the Giants, per our ancestry?

110% the braves. I hate the phils, and their fans (at least the recent bandwagon ones) with a passion. Being in philly country is of course a big part of this, but even going back to the old days, I still never like the phillies.
Braves? Yeah, the 90′s were a long time ago. Plus, I don’t see them as a big dynasty in the making. So let them win the division, and go nowhere (something thye have a long track record of doing).
that, and like MF said, root like heck for another team (giants or cards) to get hot, and nose them out for the WC. Let them have no post season for a change.
That actualy will work out for the mets, because the phils have really stretched their budget lately, and from whet has been in the papers, I get the sense that they are depending on the PS revenue to make up the difference. So falling short might put a crimp n their off seaosn plans!

Ooh, I love the Sunday Question graphic!!
I picked the Phils-Braves 1-2 in April, and I stick by it.
The Phils have more will to win in their fingernails than Jose Reyes does in his entire slacker body. Sorry folks, time for reality to rear its ugly head.
I am SOOOOO sure that Jimmy Rollins also just cannot focus on every pitch—it’s too hard!! And too distracting while one is busy thinking about one’s next 4th place dugout dance!!

Considering how much time and energy Rollins spends thinking about the Mets and talking about the Mets it’s amazing that he accomplishes anything positive for the Phillies since they are so obviously secondary in his thoughts.
As far as the Sunday question: Braves. Even when they were good their “fans” didn’t care and I respect their consistency. No front running like in Philly.
