Note to Mr. NJ: If the Mets persist putting Francoeur in the lineup we’re going to need a twitter tweets featured image that utilizes the fail whale instead of the tweety bird.

That or maybe the twitter robot with the broken hand.

If you google “twitter fail whale” not only can you see the original but also some great renditions.

Below is a link to the robot with the broken hand.

Just to be clear I was joking and don’t expect you to actually create this art. I only included a comment about how to find the images I was talking about in case someone was curious about what I was referring to.

Thanks for expanding Grave. It is in any case an interesting idea.

If you find the concept interesting enough to go through the trouble of making something I’m sure I would find a use for it.

I really don’t feel the need to make any suggestions though because you’ve been coming up with a bunch of great stuff on your own. All the featured images are great IMO. Thank you for making them.

That hint the other day about how to find them in the library saved me some time searching which is greatly appreciated.

Your welcome and Thank you Grave I appreciate the kind words. I am also glad my suggestion helped make finding the images easier.

I just don’t understand……The problem has predominately been hitting. Carter’s bat might give you the advantage there. Let him start and if we have a lead, especially a small one, then replace him with Francoeur for defensive purposes.

As far as 2nd base, the 2 choices there don’t give you much to work with…..

I can see giving castillo a game (since ruben relaly, relaly should not be anywhere near a NL line-up at this point). And as badly as I want slappy gone in the off season, they have to get a different 2B. No using ruben before he hits his way into the job!

Heck, call up Satin if you want to try a prospect.

and please, stop this running Frenchy out there everyday. I stil lhave this fear that he will have a couple of week hot streak, and sucker the mets into offering him arbitration again, and getting stuck with this stiff for 7mill+ next year. You can get a real player for that kind of money!

and considering the only time he hits even close to ML level is against LHP, he has to be platooned at most.

Jerry really needed to go before this. He is a dope.

While I agree I don’t want him for next year it’s not exactly like he is blocking anyone by playing.

I really don’t see a big deal with Frenchy over Carter/Jesus. In my opinion none are great candidates for next year. As bad as Carter is in the OF I am not sure the difference is even measurable.

I largely agree with what Ceetar tweeted. As far as Jesus and/or Carter I consider them viable 2011 back ups and would prefer the balance of this season be used to better judge what they might have to offer. Francoeur on the other hand has had years of regular playing time to show what he offers.

and since the Met FO often seems to have the attention span of a fruit fly, I could see a 2 week “hot” stretch by Frenchy making them do something stupid, like paying him a lot of money to start again next year.
