I will admit that I am the worst Card Player on the planet. I can’t bluff, I have no poker face and even if I had a Royal Flush on the deal, I would give the dealer 4 cards back and try to get a pair of Aces.
Last year I went to Atlantic City and I couldn’t win at Roulette if I put a chip on every number. The Slot Machines actually feel bad when I play them and spit out pity quarters-only for me to put them back and lose them.
I can’t go near the football ticket, I literally can pick one winner out of five, on a good week.
Needless to say, I can’t pick a winner.
But if I had a 100 dollars in my pocket and actually knew a Bookie, I would put it all on the Braves for tonight’s game. I mean, lets look at this for a moment. The Mets have major problems winning in Atlanta, they have major problems winning on the Road and c’on, they won yesterday-do you think the Mets are winning tonight? I would bet on the Braves-to win-and I hate the Braves!
I should adjust my Met schedule, I’ll watch the Mets every other night-just to catch a win.
You think the Mets are winning tonight in Atlanta?
I wouldn’t bet on it.
But knowing the luck I have, they’ll pull it off and squeeze out a win.

I would believe anything this year with the mets.
so, why not beat up on the braves? Who would have thought that the astros would go to philly last week and sweep 4 from the phils? Who then turned around and went out to WD and swept the padres!

First of all I just want to kick Lady Gaga in the nuts for his/her horrible song that automatically starts playing in my head whenever I read/hear the phrase “poker face.”

It may not be as safe a bet tonight as you think. Since the last day of July the Mets have never been more than 1 game over or 1 game under .500, so the game I would place my money on would be tomorrow’s game and that bet being for the Mets to win or lose would be the opposite of whatever they do tonight, thus they would keep the streak of never being more than 1 game over or under intact. The problem with them being exactly .500 like they are now is they could go either way. Once they’re 1 up or 1 down it’s a stone cold lead pipe lock.

All the other tangibles aside…poor road record…poor record in Atlanta, etc…just going on the basis of we can’t win 2 games in a row to save our lives, well tonight should be a loss.
All I kept thinking the other night in the Santana loss is it’s a good thing it’s a 5 man rotation b/c that way each starter at least has a chance to get a W every other start….
