I attended Monday night’s game in Atlanta. Too bad I didn’t get to go to this one instead, with Duda making his debut and Thole finally moving up to the second spot (where I believe he can thrive). Although I’m a bit skeptical that Jenrry Mejia is ready to start in the big leagues, I’d much rather see him than the terrible Pat Misch. Misch is a AAAA pitcher who should only be used in mopup duty from here on out. Also would like to see Dillon Gee get a start at some point. Now is the time to assess some of these young players and see if any of them can be contributors for 2011. Season has been over for awhile, but I’ve been looking forward to see some young guys play. Also that much closer to what I hope will be the end of the Omar Minaya era. Certainly will be the end of the Jerry Manuel era, to which we all can be thankful.

man what is Jerry gonna do when a LHP is on the mound and the Mets don’t have any RH OF to play. is it remotely possible that he might actually let Duda start against righties and lefties???

Someone described this lineup as having “what, 4 1/2 major league hitters in it” and I’ll be damned if I can figure out how they were breaking it down.
Depending on what Mets fan you ask this lineup has no major league hitters in it.

Goodnight for Carlos to shed the brace tonight being flanked by Duda and Carter. He may need to cover some serious ground. Excited to see Duda and hopefully he can at least reach the infield with throws unlike Carter….

jerry can’t even let duda finish his first game without sticking an IF out there to replace him. when he was pretty much the best defensive player out there tonight!
