The Brooklyn Cyclones will play a must win game tonight at MCU Park to avoid being eliminated from the NYPL Semifinals after losing Game 1 of a 3 game series last night vs the Jamestown Jammers 7-6.
The Savannah Sand Gnats will also be playing tonight in Game 1 of a 3 game Southern Division Championship Series vs the Greenville Drive. Armando Rodriguez will take the hill for Game 1.

Odd though. with no Mets game tonight, you would think that SNY would fire up the Brooklyn playoff game. They have broadcast other cyclones games, haven’t they?

I haven’t tried this in a long time so not sure if it works but I think through the Gnats website you can link to their radio cast and I think their voice is Toby Hyde.

Hmm, wonder if Hojo and Wally are buddies from back in the day? wouldn’t that be a kick, if wally got the job, then wanted Hojo to stay on?

Oh…I was excited when I saw this post because I automatically thought the Cyclone game would be televised on SNY. But boo….it’s not.
I too don’t understand why at least one of these games wouldn’t be televised.

I wonder if Wally is telling himself his team, their season can’t end being eliminated in this round – especially as good a season as they had. Much like many of them on the bench during Game 6 were thinking…

cyclones emulating the big club.
had a lead, and the pen spit back a 4 spot in the 8th to put them down by 1.
still time for a dramatic comeback.
and the other team in the playoffs for the mets (sand gnats), losing big in their game 1.
could be a quick postseason for the met minors.

Yeah he managed the hell of out of that wild pitch on which the winning run scored in the bottom of the 12th, but at least he did have the Clones steal more bases (4) than they made errors (3).

Or, it could could just be that most SS Aball RPs aren’t likely very good?
