Tim Brown of Yahoo Sports broke the story tweeting that Torre is to announce that he is stepping down and Mattingly will be the next Dodgers manager.
The Dodgers will be holding a press conference at 5:00pm pst. That’s 8:00pm est for those not in the know 
Now who will the Mets seek as the next Mets manager? Torre? Naaaaah…..

Oh wait, that was a different situation…
anyway, nice to know, but I never htought he was on the Mets radar anyway.
Now please, get Torre another job someplace, because I want no part of him with the Mets, and I do not want to spend the next 2 months wading through posts about how the Mets should hire him.

I’d be a nice reprieve from getting thecrappy Hudson, stupidly trading Reyes (or Wright) , or crap about whether or not Beltran should move (even if he should, you give him Spring Training ..)
