If the Mets decide they would like to interview say Hunsicker do they then must wait till after the Rays post season run is over to interview him?

if he is under contract, then they have to ask permission. So yes. Actually, I think they have to ask anyway when they are eliminated if he is signed for next year.

Since he is a front office type, I don’t see it as a big deal to ask permission now (if his contract is about to expire). It would, however, be tacky if he was part of the on the field team like the manager!

I understand the permission part but can they interview him during the post season?

sure, if the Rays say OK. There is supposed to be a moritorium on making announcements during the playoffs, although it does not seem to apply to the Yankees (no rules actually apply to the Yankees). Or at least A Rod.

why does Jerry get so fixated on one position/place in the BA? Used to be 1B hitting CU, then 2B hiting #2, now LF hitting in the 2 hole.

I know there was some jerry worry about confusing guys moving them around in the order (even though he changes the whole thing up on a regular basis), but of all the odd moves Jerry makes, this is one of the oddest!

Dude the let the man go out the way he wants to. With 7 games to go who cares about the lineup? My bad you do.

Bay said “I kind of feel like these last two months have been wasted.”

I don’t know about that I though Bay being on the DL was good use of his time.

    -sigh

R.A. Dickey Bay is not with the quotes.

hell, he wasted the 4 months before that for the most part too.

at least when he went out, the production from LF probably went up!
