Andy Martino of the NY Daily News writes that he Mets and closer Francisco Rodriguez have canceled Monday’s grievance hearing filed by the Player’s Union on behalf of KRod.
A Mets spokesman was quoted to say that “the parties are in negotiation,”

I guess it’s safe to say that neither Bell , Parnell nor takahashi will be our closer next season

no guarantee the K Rod will either. If anything, having the contract situation settled out (as in, if the option goes away) could make him easier to trade.
maybe the Yankees will want him for a set up guy, if Kerry Wood leaves after this year!
