As as a Met Fan, last night couldn’t get any better.
Now that the Yankees and Phillies are out, are you going to watch the World Series? What team are you pulling for and which team do you think will walk away victorious?

I am guessing the Rangers. But, I will not count out the Giants. They have pitching, and that can tip the balance.
And the series may also shed light on which team (phillies or yankees) was really the most overrated going into the LCS (or maybe a better word is iffy?). If nothing else, the Yankees pitching and Phillies offense were really exposed.
should be a good series though, and I honestly don’t care which team wins. I won’t watch lots of it, but will likely flip on the game if there is nothing else on (or after the wife and daughter have gone to bed!)

A short series exposes very little other than one team may have been incredibly hot at the time. It is an incredibly small sample size and in terms of which team is more talented totally useless. The regular season is a much better barometer of a team’s talent.

I’m going with the Rangers myself. Love their pitching and Hamilton.
The Mets should stop interviews and hire Alderson now. There is no way Daniels is leaving the Rangers.

I’ll watch as much of it as real life allows as opposed to the roughly 5 total innings of the 2009 WS that I forced myself to suffer through.
When I have no animosity toward them I always root for the NL team as I’m an NL guy. This fall I will root for the Giants. Lincecum and Cain is a formidable games 1, 2, 4, 5 & 7 (I assume they’ll go 1-2) tandem, and unlike many NL teams the Giants roster is such that they actually have useful player(s) to use as DH in the AL park.
I’m hoping for an epic 7 game battle with an unforgettable error-free Lee-Lincecum finale in San Fran that the Giants win 1-0 to take the series.

Absolutely will be watching – and enjoying it, this year. I always watch and last year was just torture.
This is a tough one. Giants pitching impresses, but I think the Rangers have the more ‘together’ team right now. They’re young, they’re healthy, they’ve been playing together as a team longer and they’ve got Cliff Lee. I usually root for the NL team – except last year – but I’ll see how this unfolds. Like Grave, I hope it goes 7 games so I can enjoy watching baseball just a little while longer with two teams who seem to really want it.

Unless Fox and Cablevision come to an agreement I will not be able to watch this years WS (unless, of course, I use one of those illegal web-sites that stream the Fox network, but of course, I wouldn’t do that).
The Giants remind me of the ’69 Mets but it remains to be seen whether or not they equal that team’s accomplishment. Personally, I could not care less who wins. I just want a well played, exciting 7 game series.
