Video: A Look At Newly Signed 16-year Old Elvis Sanchez

Ben Dadler reports that the New York Mets just signed 16-year-old righthanded power-hitting Dominican third baseman Elvis Sanchez.

Here is video taken of him a year ago taking BP and playing the field.

The guy is a horse. Especially since in the Video he might have only been 15!

Hopefully he can actually play 3B. Mets already seem to have a nice collection of teenage bats that will have to end up at 1B, LF or DH!

I’m impressed with the fact that even though it’s officially off season for the Mets, there are plenty of posts going up daily – and several different ones from what most are posting. Too bad I’ve been so busy today to get to most but I will.

This Elvis looks promising. You know how sometimes you know nothing about the topic at hand but just the name and/or phrase gives you an instant good feeling or optimism? Well, for me anyway…..
That’s how I feel about this kid just b/c his first name is Elvis and he’s tagged as ‘power hitting’. Here’s hoping he pans out.
