The Mets will hold their annual coat drive tomorrow at Citi Field. Some of the perks that fans that donate coats, include the opportunity meet Mets players and receive tickets for a April 2011 game.
As Per Anthony DiComo of www.mlb.com
“The Mets and New York Cares will collect gently-used men’s, women’s and children’s coats at Citi Field’s Hodges VIP entrance from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m ET. Those donating items will also have an opportunity to meet third baseman David Wright, outfielder Jason Bay, first baseman Ike Davis and new manager Terry Collins, who will be available between 11 a.m. and noon.
In addition, all fans who donate coats will receive a voucher redeemable for one pair of tickets to a select Mets game in April. The voucher is also good for a 15-percent discount at the Mets team store at Citi Field.
The Mets will deliver all items to the 22nd annual New York Cares Coat Drive, the city’s largest annual coat drive, which aims to collect 70,000 coats this December.”
