I loved those boxes. Hopefully Ollie stays in his.

The season really did hit the crapper after the PR trip, didn’t it? I know they were still 1 game out of the WC at the ASB, but the wheels were off the bus as they staggered into the break. Thanks to the hitting going AWOL.

I was pretty happy after the 3 game shutout sweep of the phils. Not many other happy times for a NY fan in Philly lately!

Yeah, any mortal being could never survive a charter jet flight to Puerto Rico and then staying in a 4-star hotel.

We really do expect way too much from these guys.

Maybe the card table in the clubhouse at Bithorn Stadium wasn’t big enough?

      The horror of it all!!

Wow… I see you still have unresolved issues.

Oh come on, you have a sense of humor, I know that for a fact!

Seriously though; I HAVE heard enough excuses……

well, as nice as your theory is, I was thinking that reyes hurting his quad right when he was on a real hot streak had more to do with it.

And wasn’t there at least 1 more injury as a result of the turf?

Hell, maybe it was coincidence, but wasn’t it right after this trip that everything went into the crapper?

Didn’t Pagan and Reyes both get injured around the same time? That’s what has been so painful the last 2 years. The team while not good was able to hang around for or in some cases play incredible baseball for brief moments. Enough to even pull some back in.

problem is, for the last couple of years, the team never really “was” very often. and it seemed that every time it started to come together, some other wheel fell off.

Absolutely. I basically consider him to be one of TRDMB’s authors.
