Well, high praise indeed from Mr. Rubin. He must be suitably impressed with what he’s hearing/seeing so far from Terry.

i would have thought a compliment praising Collins would have garnered more than 1 comment. I wonder how many would it have garnered had it been ripping him?

Ha! Well, I am happy so far; I preferred Wally, but Collins was definitely my second choice.
A tough, new face, and a guy who very possibly realized this is his last shot as an MLB manager if he does not do well.
I like how many kids showed up early; maybe this is a sign of how they know/like/respect him.
I like what he has said about Murphy, Mejia and the bullpen.
Personally, you know I think the team the last two years was lazy, undisciplined, and had zero regard or respect for Jerry.
I am watching very closely to see if things will be different; I truly hope they will be.

I like the Collins hire. He seems to know exactly what he wants and he has the support of the team. Now if people would stop worrying about Madoff then we’d be all set…

that won’t happen until the games start.

and while it is always nice to get out of the gate well, if there was ever a year they needed a fast start, it is this one.
