In other news:
Cashman said Pedro Feliciano was “abused” by the Mets’ use of him in recent years.
Um….it’s not like Pedro’s innings/games used was some well kept secret, Cashman. Sounds like the Yankees didn’t do their homework.

If I remember reading correctly Pedro considered the record amount of games as something he wanted and strived for.

He got paid for it, so what does he care? Would he have signed this significant of a contract if he pitched in 20 less games each season? *shrug*

first off, nonsense. He was a loogy, this is how they get used.
but making the comment is asinine. His usage is right on the back of his baseball card! Plus, there were plenty of articles written at the time debating (from a mets standpoint) whether he was safe to sign.
From Pedros view, of course he wanted the ball, It got him a huge contract from the yankers, didn’t it?

It really is not any secret that Pedro was overused, that is one of the reasons why Sandy did not resign him, it is not like we traded damaged goods.
Maybe if Cashman did not suck at his job, he would not have this problem.
