Eh…as good as any lineup, I guess.
It’s Halladay so the plan should be to get some runs early. He seems to get in a groove that’s hard to break.
Here’s hoping Niese can keep the Phillies off the base paths.

At least it’s not another injury…..

he was shut down for a while int he winter, and did have invasive surgery. Better to give him time to rehab correctly to build his core strength up, to better avoid pulling a muscle again by not being ready.
hell, we waited this long, whats another month! and so far, Emaus/murphy look OK.

Just a opinion about the site but I think it would make sense to reduce some of the posts. Now with the season in full swing we have infamy, Lineup, Breaking News, Pre Game, Post Game, Man-up, Joe-P and analysis articles.
For things like the lineup, we all want to see it but instead of the post maybe the tweet can have a permanent home in the top left. Maybe post game and man-up can be combined? Just want to trow some thoughts out there. There are a lot of times where I want to reply but because 3 new posts came within a half hour the conversation gets lost.

Yeah it’s a tricky business. We try and be somewhere in between the 10 post an hour Metsblog and the 1 post per day ….
We have tried scheduling things in the past but to me I don’t want to limit the creativity of our bloggers. So I guess when we got something to say, we say it. I think today there’s just a lot of news out there.

isn’t it hard to combine posts when they are being written by different people at different times?
Man up and infamy in the AM, line up when it gets released, post game after the game. Seems to be spaced OK.
oh, breaking news when it happens, and random opinion pieces when someone feels like writing one!

Can you utilize the side bar in a way to notify of breaking news or to pull in Joe P (I love his work and I like the reminder) so we get the content but just distribute it differently/
Even keep the posts but sticky a general discussion forum at the top?
Sorry I work for a software company so I think about these things too much.

Well the sidebar does have a recent post section.

shocker here, but TRS is going to disagree with me on something.
IMO, they should just leave Ike in the 4 hole for good. Beltran is not a clean up hitter at this point, and it causes too much line up shuffling since he rests so much. Let him hit 5th/6th (depending on Bay, and how he is hitting) for now.
Ike is going to be spending the next few years hitting 4th anyway, just let him do it now. I really don’t worry about him pressing or losing confidence because of it.

Good point. One I agree with right now.
You know if Bay would get back in the lineup and put up numbers he’s capable of, this wouldn’t even be a discussion.

well, does not appear that he will be back any time soon. at least a couple more weeks, most likely the end of the month at best.
so, get used to being without him. Keep moving on.
now, putting up numbers he is capable of? I no longer know what that is, but if you mean what he did in his prime, I don’t think that will ever happen.
at this point, if he came back May 1 and stayed on the field, and put up say .265/.350/.425 (.775 OPS), with 12 HRs and 65-70 RBIs, I would consider it about the best you could expect out of him.
woefully inadequate for a starting LF, and no where close to earning his salary, but about what you can expect.
Sandy is going to have to make a hard choice pretty soon, when they end up with a prospect that needs to play LF bashing on the door, and the corpse formerly known as Bay blocking the way.
I didn’t want him in the first place (on the record for that. I think) and would trade him this year for anything passing for a modest return (and some salary relief). I know he is untradeable now, but maybe he comes back, stays on the field, and puts up some OK numbers?
