Update (7:05PM): The game has officially be rained out. Double-header to be played on Thursday, with the make-up game at 12:10pm.
Sorry for the late notice on this one, but I’ll still be the first to make this call!
The models were incredibly indecisive even as of this afternoon, in terms of when the rain would arrive. Some said as early as 7ish, some as late at 11ish (PM), but the constant was that once it started raining it would go on for several hours at the very least.
So, given that the rain actually started earlier than any of the models (for those of you not in the NY area, it’s raining right now), I think the Mets game will be postponed. There may be a double-header tomorrow in lieu of tonight’s game.
The good news is that tonight’s Mets’ bullpen WHIP is 0.00!

Oh, you two are so talented.
They just called it, according to SNY. I could have sworn Gary said it would be made up on Thrs as a double header but that doesn’t make sense. But I’m seeing on the left that’s exactly what they’re going to do. I thought Thr was already a day game so they’re going to play one late afternoon/early evening, I guess.

a single admission DH. another hit to the teams wallet!
wonder what this is going to do to the pitching rotation? will they need a 6th starter sooner than expected (calling DJ!)

Yes, sounds like a spot starter on Sunday is likely.
Might be Gee.

Ah….I guess the had already changed the Thr start time when I looked at it.
Will be interesting to see who gets the spot start.

This is one of my favorite sentences of all time:
“In his second professional start, Mets RHP prospect Matt Harvey pitched six shutout innings yesterday, while striking out eight, in his professional debut yesterday in a win for the St. Lucie Mets.”

That’s a whole lot of debuts… on several levels.

It reminds me of the commercial I hear every day on MLB radio.
If you would like to be one of the first to try this proven weight loss program call…..
I may be wrong here, but wouldn’t it be difficult to be a proven program if I am one of the first to try it?
