Jerry Collins (I love that name!) certainly is adhering to his dog-eared copy of the baseball bible, isn’t he?

Just get over it and let Murphy play every day.

    and skip starting Hairston.

      Amen!

Any thoughts on whenever JC comes out to make a pitching change they drop the drum solo to Phil Collin’s ‘In the Air Tonight’?

well, it’s not like Pridie is lighting it up. And Thole likely was going to sit either today or day game tomorrow anyway, so might as well be the lefty.

I am fine with this being Tholes day off, so I did not mention him.

pridie might not be mashing, but he seems to have a better glove, and I really just don’t like Hairston! But not like that move is a big deal anyway.

I just expected more out of Terry (strategically) than I think we are getting.

I’d actually like to see him give Reyes a day off soon. It’s still April, no need to run everyone out there everyday. Hairston needs to get his wits together and prove he can still mash against lefties if he wants to stay when Pagan comes back.

Soon, but not soon-as-in the upcoming Philly series this weekend.

I want all hands on deck.
You all know how I feel about the Phillies……

          2. Ceetar

well yes, if not tomorrow, Perhaps one of the games against the Dodgers before flying out to see Emaus and the Rockies

          3. stickguy

He just had Monday off this week. Let him play.

          4. Ceetar

rest for the long haul. don’t want to wear him out by August.

          5. Prismo

Then don’t vote for him to be in the ASG.

            +1 stick

HE RESTED ON MONDAY. IT’S WEDNESDAY.

            :)

            + 50 Prismo.

            He’s 27.

He played a total of 169 games the last two years.

They were off April 12, 15, and 18.

Monday April 25 was an off day.

Next Monday May 2 is an off day.

Thursday May 12 is an off day.

            ???

Reyes needs to play every day.

Ugh….this lineup does not look as good as the past several.

At least Beltran is still in there.

  2. kingman 26

    Yeah, this is hugely disappointing.

Maybe Turner can collide with Wright in the on-deck circle and disable him too.

At least he might have a chance at making solid contact that way.

Old fashioned nonsense which must go.

  3. Prismo

Prediction: Murphy will be in at 2b by the 7th or 8th inning.

    1. stickguy

well, if you want to look for the silver lining, they have a good LH bat on thebench when he does not start!

    2. metsfan4decades

Unless we have a 1 run lead, then we could see Hu in there as a defensive replacement.

    3. Prismo

      Bow down minions. :)

Hey it’s here, just as last night I did not get to start watching it until 9:30 (DVR’d). No rest for the man on spring break I guess.
