    the new usual.

at this point, Murphy and Pridie are the everyday starters (or certainly should be). Screw any platoons and to hell with giving the bench guys any spot starts!

Oh, I still don’t understand why bay is hitting above Ike. One guy is making a case to be in the AS game at a tough position, and the other one looks like a washed up has been on his last legs.

Yea I think this is the first time we’ve seen the same lineup two days in a row. Im ok with Bay they. They are giving him a shot to turn it around. 2 more weeks of crap and then it will be safe to write him off.

Well, Bay certainly hasn’t been good. But his OPS of .750 at least shouldn’t KILL the lineup for now. With that OPS, you can at least give him some time to turn it around. He’s had a lot of fluky hits (in fact, I think most of his hits have been fluky), but they still count. Only his 30% K-rate can really hurt the team in the middle of the lineup.

I should point out that Wright and Bay actually have VERY similar lines thusfar. OPS almost the same, K-rate almost the same.

So if you’re suggesting we move Bay back in the lineup due to this moderate struggles in like 15 games…then we should probably move Wright back as well.

I don’t think moving bay from 5th to 6th (flipping with a really hot hitter), especially vs. RHP, is giving up on him!

and I will avoid any more Wright comments, but yes, at this point, he is not earning the 3 hole. Problem is, you don’t have a heck of a lot of other options.

Also not sure I want Bay and wright back to back. And tough RHP and that is almost a guaranteed 2 Ks!

probably right now the best lineup (or at least most deserved?) is:

          Reyes/murphy/beltran/davis/wright/bay/pridie/thole (or Paulino)

So much for Chris Young…..scratched at the last minute.

    It’s Gee’s game now.

Wonder what ‘couldn’t get loose’ really means?

      Ah…but now that’s it’s over, you saw a Win.

Have to give Gee credit tonight.
