Great! Move Bay down to 8th, and we will really have something!

Hopefully Wright will contribute little bit more in his favorite ballpark…

can they move him to the bench instead?

at some piont, if nothing else, he needs to be platooned. Salary be damned.

        Wright?

        1. stickguy

replied to the wrong post. That was meant toward Bay.

Wright is a whole nother issue!

          1. kistics

who do you platoon Bay with?

          2. njstuckintx

            DUDA!!!!!!

          3. kistics

            nice…

hahaha – I looked at that like you were talking about Wright and thought ‘wow, stickguy really is done with this team this year’.

          5. kistics

            it’s that poisonous philthy water….

I’m telling you – you heard it here first – the Phillie are going down. The Braves are gonna win the division.

Blanton with arm problems, Oswalt with back problems, 3 relievers on the DL, Utley will contribute when he returns like Beltran did when he first returned, Ibanez is done, their RF platoon isn’t getting it done, Polanco with injuries to that 35 year old body, Chooch is still hurt and they’re stuck with Schneider.

I just don’t see how they’re gonna keep on taking series with that lineup they’ve got. Meanwhile, IMO, the Braves are looking really good about now.

Utley went 5-7 in his rehab assignment yesterday and the film on him looked impressive. I’d be surprised if he has a Beltran 2010 return like performance.

a supervised rehab stint is easier though than playing every day full out, and getting banged around playing 2B. But who knows. it’s the phils, so I am sure he will be back in 2 weeks, good as new!

‘Young has a “re-tear” of the anterior capsule of shoulder, same injury as last year. Haven’t decided on surgery or not yet. ‘

    Nice…..

I fear the putrid Millwood may next be in the mix :(

    2. stickguy

oh well. worth a try I guess.

Hopefully Johan heals better than Young did.

Young opted for rehab over surgery the first time.

    Wright mum on injury

    http://espn.go.com/blog/new-york/mets/post/_/id/22243/wright-mum-on-injury

Terry Collins thinks David Wright’s struggles at the plate are related to injuring his upper back/neck area making a diving tag on Houston’s Carlos Lee on April 19.
    *******

    More nice….

    1. stickguy

sounds like a plant story to try to cover for his ineptitude. If he can play, he ain’t hurt!

      1. TRS86

I love ya bud but what a silly thing to say. Just because a player can trot out there does not mean they are able to do what they should be able to do when completely healthy. As for if he is actually injured? I have no idea, but to think that nagging injuries can’t affect your play is foolish.

        1. kingman 26

          I agree.

Wright is one of the VERY few Mets of recent years who clearly does want to play and who would gladly play through just about any injury.

Waste of a good start by Capuano.

And please, I’m begging them….just DFA Harris.

  6. Prismo

Hey, for those of you worried about depth in the rotation….Figgy just got DFA’d!
