   Weird. It was my understanding there was hardly any rain in the area last night, yet the called the game early.

   Tonight, it appears to be alternating between heavy rain and a steady drizzle type, but the game is still on?

   I guess neither team wanted to play last night.

   In underwater baseball tonight, Mets 3 – Nats nothing.
   That was just crazy. Don’t know about the rest of you, but I was holding my breath watching waiting for an injury.

   Jon Niese pitched a very solid game. Got into trouble in the 7th but don’t know how much of that was due to the driving rain midway through his effort there.

   Reyes just keeps on getting on and Turner is now 10-for-30 with four doubles, a home run and 11 RBIs over his last nine games. Not sure how long he’ll keep this up but it sure is fun to watch. Gotta give Bay credit too for coming up with the sac fly as opposed to doing nothing there in that at bat.

   Izzy has been great so far and KRod of course had to make it interesting. I was just waiting for him to slide right off the mound after every pitch.

   Let’s take 2 tomorrow.
