   Carlos Beltran needs 2 doubles to reach 193 which ties Mike Piazza for sixth place in franchise history.

      Pretty good when 2 weeks ago 80% of Mets fans said they’d finish the season with less than 75 wins!

            They VERY well may! But people were 99% certain of it. Don’t get me wrong, I’m still on the side that they’ll finish below .500, but I always thought under 75 wins (and especially under 70) was a bit absurd.

               What sucks is that we are watching the New York ‘big bad wolf’ (from Busch Gardens) or the New York ‘scream machine’ from 6 Flags. It’s the roller coaster team that the fans, will freak out on the downs and regroup on the tick-tick-tick upswings. This team should be sponsored by Mylanta, as we’ll all need a little of that.

               Haha, you’re absolutely right nj! All you have to do is check out MB the day after a win vs the day after a loss. You’ll see a stark difference in the tone and content of the articles (and when I say articles, I mean articles linked from other blogs).
