With Buffalo having the night off and St. Lucie rained out, it was a pretty slow night on the farm. Let’s observe…
Richmond 5, Binghamton 3
Brandon Moore struggled through five innings, giving up four runs (three earned), and the offense mustered only five hits.
Palm Beach @ St. Lucie, PPD (Rain)
Savannah 6, Rome 5
A night after the Sand Gnats clinched, they and the Braves battled it out in a see-saw affair. Greg Peavey had another strong outing, going 6 innings and giving up only 2 earned runs (though 4 overall). Wilfredo Tovar doubled home the tying run in the bottom of the 8th, and then scored the go ahead ruin on a passed ball. He was 3 for 5 on the evening. Hamilton Bennett pitched the 9th for the save.
