Evans gets his chance right away I see. Still want to see duda every day. He seems to be doing OK vs. LHP. But, you called the guy up, might as well give him a day to play.
Clayton Kershaw ‘s last outing against the Angels was less than stellar but given his talents I wouldn’t expect another clunker. Given the Dodgers anemic offense I anticipate a winnable but low scoring game. Let’s win another one for all those fans that are “whining and caterwauling against all things Met and medical.”
I always feel it is my obligation to plagiarize only the most sagacious among us. In lieu of that criteria I’ll take the first cute statement I see. Such was the case here.

Duda’s been pretty damn bad vs LHP this year. Not sure if he has had a lot of recent success but for the season his OPS is around .550.

Speaking of bad Duda, what happened to the supposed power stroke of his?

Well speaking ahead of Stick, his slugging percentage has not been bad the last couple of weeks but they are doubles instead of HR for sure.

If I had to guess, possible that he was just focusing on contact and driving the ball around, and not really cranking it up.
or, just a coincidence. He certainly has plenty of power, and has shown in the past.

gotta say though, this grouping is not going to be on the cover of SI as one of the best IFs ever!
Good day for Ks and FBs.

LOL, no it would not but most likely a shade better than when Duda is there.

“I’ll give you a secret signal for the secret negotiations.”
LOL, I love Sandy.
Another bullshit article, I guess this one had a better chance than Luis Hernandez starting at 2B.

Yeah, was that something I missed earlier on the pregame show?
And FYI: I miss Jose already.

one thing about this 7 game stretch.
yes, they are facing a good string of SP.
but, they are also facing in the next 4 teams with lousy offense. So, entirely possible they can just win some low scoring games.
even the phils have had long stretches of not scoring, and they will be playing in citi where they have not been big scorers lately.
so, to get some wins in this stretch, just need to SP to keep up the good work, and be opportunistic against the pen when you get a chance.

O.K. – Braves recent play is reminding me of the reason I hated them so much in the 90s……
