Pelfrey better have that sinker working with Duda in LF. Since Harris is swinging the bat a little better than he had earlier in the season I’d rather see him out there.
But at the same time, with Pelfrey’s utter lack of success against the Fish (1-7 5+ ERA) maybe Terry is hoping Duda can finally hit a HR.

Messy chart below, but over the last 20 games played (6/25-7/21, ~68 ABs) these are dudas #s
BA
OBP
SLG
OPS
.344
.412
.574
.986
No HRs, but plenty of doubles and some long triples (probably 2-3 HRs on the road that stayed in Citi).
and impressively, more BBs than Ks (7 to 6 I think).
same as last year, very slow start, but then he hit very well for quite a long period.
I know he is not winning an GGs soon, and the HRs have not yet appeared, but I think it is wrong to say he is crap, a MiL only guy, worthless, etc. as many people on various sites seem to like to do.
Keep letting him play, and based on what he did for 2 years in the minors, and the latter part of September last year, and I expect he will bomb a few HRs along the way too.
He just needs to learn that if you are going to have a hot stretch and a cold stretch, have the hot stretch first!

He best show some better glove work in the field or it will be irrelevent. I know he’s only got I believe 1 error but the 2 dropped throws in SF, the throw yesterday, the lally gag throw he just did to second that let Bonafacio score – he’s freakin brutal in the field right now.

After the first, you knew it was gonna be a battle of the pitchers – and not ‘duel’ either.
Sloppy game but we were just a little less sloppy and pitched just a little bit better.
Pelf and that long ball is a problem but he managed to stay out there 6 innings so we didn’t have to use the back end of our BP, which isn’t all that great.
Murphy keeps right on hitting and welcome back, Wright. Those 2 Ks aside, he hit the ground running with 2 doubles and a couple of RBIs.

In today’s installment of “As the TRON Turns” from MLB Trade Rumors:
Beltran went 1-for-4 with a walk and a strikeout in the Mets’ win over the Marlins last night, and every game he plays could be his last with the team these days. MLBTR learned that because of his no-trade clause, Beltran can not approve a trade until 24 hours after the deal. That means the deadline to move him is June 30th, not the 31st. The Mets have interest in top prospects, but Mike Minor (Braves), Domonic Brown (Phillies), Gary Brown, Zach Wheeler, and Brandon Belt (all Giants) appear to be off the table.
Let’s keep track of all the day’s Beltran rumors right here, with the latest up top…
The Reds “have nibbled” on Beltran according to ESPN’s Jerry Crasnick (on Twitter), but they are hesitant to give up good prospects or take on so much money for a rental.

Copied this direct, obviously they mean July 30 not June 30….
