Bay down to 7th, as he should be. I like this lineup.

Now that the HR drought is over, look for plenty more to come!

Well, left way too many on base tonight.
I hate Gabby Sanchez.
The difference is the middle of this BP.
Such a huge disparity between Acosta, Iggy and Carrasco as compared to
Beato, Parnell and Izzy.
If the SP doesn’t go deep, odds are we’re in trouble.
I can only assume Capuano’s arm just doesn’t have the stamina to go much past the 5th most outings without tiring.

As usual you’re correct about the middle innings relief. Carrasco pitched well at AAA as a starter so perhaps that’s the mode he is most effective in. Of course he may just be a AAAA pitcher.
While it may very well be that at this stage of his career, after the arm problems, Capuano doesn’t have the arm strength to proceed beyond the middle innings it’s also possible that the hitters adjust to him their 3rd time around.

We’ve seen many pitchers have this type of surgery, come back in the first year and not fare that well, only to get back on track the second year. So maybe there is hope for Capuano next year.
Of course, I don’t even know if he’ll be here next year.

I believe it is.
So was hoping the deeper into the season, the more he pitched, the stronger the arm/shoulder would get.
His last start was pretty good – think he got into the 8th? or at least pitched a full 7 strong innings. Last night, not so much.
His interview after the game he pretty much admitted the pitches he was trying to make that last inning, he wound up with a couple ‘up, in the zone’. Good indication most times of an arm getting tired.
