Jose Reyes left the game yesterday in the second inning after experiencing stiffness in his left hamstring.
Daniel Murphy was removed from the game in the seventh inning after sustaining an injury to his left knee.
Reyes received an MRI and was examined yesterday at the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS). He has a strain of his left hamstring. His playing status will be determined later today.
Murphy also received an MRI and was examined at HSS yesterday. He has a sprain of the medial collateral ligament (MCL) of the left knee. Recovery time from this injury, which should not require surgery, is estimated to be six-to-eight weeks. Murphy is likely out for the season. He will be put on the 15-Day Disabled List today and will be replaced by Ruben Tejada on the 25-Man Roster.

Why do they always drag this crap out. Just DL him already!

I really don’t know. I’d have to say the odds of that hamstring being minor enough to only need a couple of days rest is like 95 to one.
I guess the only harm in waiting a few days to see is they play with a 24 man bench. Then, when they finally decide to DL him, they’ll retro it back.
I’m with you. Just do it and call up someone now.
